AACBWI is a collective information-sharing forum for children’s authors and illustrators, young and old, aspiring or published. This site was designed to bridge the gap between this stand-alone, yet up-and-coming genre and children’s writers and illustrators of color.
AACBWI desires to assist, grow and encourage aspiring African-American children’s authors and illustrators in obtaining their literary achievements by hosting this website as a an outlet for links, postings, events, and individual artist features.
If you write for children or feel your company or services are geared towards our little ones, check out this site! Check out our online interviews with authors and illustrators, published both traditionally and self-published on our Interviews page. Be sure to also check out our literary partners, The BrownBookshelf.com as well as the Black Writers and Reunion Conference organization.

About Sabra
Although Sabra originated her characters, she proudly acknowledges her illustrator, Berry Holly, for bringing her characters into an enhanced animated form. Holly has been illustrating for ten years.
Her next book from the MTB Adventure Series (TM) will be Micky,Ticky, Boo! Goes To Australia (as soon as she visits this wonderful continent!).
